Grayson at 3 months and such...

Well, my baby boy is just growing by leaps and bounds. He is rolling over now, bearing weight on his legs, laughing and “talking” and he has found his hands… He will hold his hand(s) in front of his face and stare at them in awe. He has also become quite good at fighting sleep. He is weighing in at somewhere around 20 pounds and is very long! Taking care of him, working, and taking care of the house is so hard sometimes, I really have a new respect for Moms of all kinds. Stay at home Moms, Working Moms, Single Moms, all Moms. However, he is so much fun, and I am so lucky to have so much time with him during the week.


Work is going well. I am challenged, appreciated, stimulated and motivated again. I love job and I have missed every aspect of it. I work in the office on Mondays, travel on Tuesdays, and work remotely from home on Wednesdays. It really works out for us. My other "latest" venture is my photography (as a hobby at the least and a career at best). I have finally invested in a professional camera, and I already have had several individuals and families inquire about sessions, which is so flattering! It is and has always been such a passion of mine, especially abstract/candid portraits. I decided that in 2010 I would make it my priority. I figure that it is something that I love, so even if it never turns into a business, I will have fun doing something I enjoy and that makes other people happy, and sharpen my skills at the same time. I am in the beginning stages of business planning, building a portfolio, and studying more about fundamentals, technique, editing etc. Here's to doors opening in that area!

2010 is Here

It is Sunday. We are wrapping up the weekend, the Christmas vacation, maternity leave, and 2009. All the decorations are put away and the house is in order. I go back to work tomorrow for the first time since the end of August. I am nervous, excited, apprehensive, sad and motivated all at the same time. I will miss being away from Gray, but I am ever so fortunate to have a part-time job doing something I love, and the opportunity to leave him with his Godmother during the time that I am working. I plan to continue breastfeeding via pumped milk while I am at work. This week will be very trial and error in that department, but I am optimistic.

Madraye and Halle were here for a week and we took them home yesterday. I have to say it was challenging, but always good to spend time with them.

Grayson rolled over for the first time this morning! I can’t believe he is already 3 months old.

Now it is time to start “being healthier”. That is a broad resolution, but I am committed!
